We are a church of Christ (Rom 16:16). This means we are a local congregation of the one true church that Christ founded (Matt 16:18) and purchased with His blood (Acts 20:28). Our teachings, acts of worship, and doctrine are consistent with the patterns found in the New Testament. We do study the Old Testament as well to fully learn the revealed word of God (Rom 15:4; 2 Tim 3:16-17).
We look to seek out lost souls and win them for Christ. The means of salvation are constant and consistent for us all. Our practice of full immersion water baptism for remission of sins is based on scriptural doctrine (Acts 2:38; 1 Pet 3:21). We must be obedient to the gospel of Christ. In following the plan of salvation, we must:
Hear the Gospel (Rom 10:10; John 8:32)
Believe the Gospel (Rom 10:10; Gal 3:26)
Repent of Sins (Acts 2:38; 17:30)
Confess Jesus as the Son of God (Acts 8:27-39; Rom 10:10)
Be Baptized For Remission of Sins (Acts 2:238; 1 Pet 3:21)
Live Faithfully Until Death (Rev 2:10)
Our worship services include the five acts of worship: prayer, acapella singing, partaking of the Lord’s supper, collection of funds from members of the church (we do not solicit funds from visitors), and biblical preaching. We offer an invitation at the end of each service and always stand ready to answer questions and assist you any way we can spiritually.
Some things you may notice “missing” from our congregation are kitchens, sports fields, and musical instruments to name a few. These items are not authorized in the Bible; therefore, they are absent from our worship and work as a congregation. We strictly follow the authority of the Bible and “speak where the Bible speaks and remain silent where the Bible is silent.” All that we do comes directly from scriptural authority, and we are able to provide book, chapter and verse authorization for our actions within the assembly.
All of our time in this life is brief and passing (James 4:14). In the end, we will all individually stand before the judgement seat of Christ and be held accountable for the deeds we did in the flesh (Heb 9:27; 2 Cor 5:10). Our goal is to exhort one another (Heb 3:13) and help one another make it to heaven by faithfully obeying ALL of God’s commandments (John 14:15).
We are a welcoming group with honest and sincere hearts. We desire to do the will of God and enjoy the fellowship we have in Christ. We look forward to seeing you at our next appointed meeting time!
